The WVU Sierra Student Coalition is a subsidiary of the national Sierra Club, an environmental organization whose mission is to “Explore, enjoy, and protect the wild places of the Earth.”  The Sierra Student Coalition’s active community of environmentally conscious students engages in wilderness outings, volunteerism, and campaigns to promote sustainability on campus, including a Solar Campaign, Styrofoam Free Campus, and WVU’s annual Earth Day Celebration.
