Stories That Inspire Action

West Virginia Chapter of the Sierra Club

The West Virginia Chapter of the Sierra Club loves clean water, fresh air and wild forests and works hard to protect these natural resources. Its goals are to explore, enjoy and protect the Earth’s wild places; practice and promote the responsible use of the Earth’s ecosystems and resources; educate and enlist humanity to protect and restore the quality of the natural and human environment; and to use all lawful means to carry out these objectives. The West Virginia Chapter also works to improve energy efficiency by promoting local renewable energy, acting as diligent citizens towards the destructive natural gas and pipeline industry, as well as remaining involved politically to ensure that elected officials are held accountable for our environment and our future.
