MOMS Clean Air Force in West Virginia

MOMS Clean Air Force in West Virginia, with a membership of 6,724, is working to ensure clean air and a stable climate. The organization hosts events, shares information and creates opportunities for moms to talk to their legislators about their concerns, at every level of government and on both sides of the political aisle. Issues it’s working on include stopping petrochemical expansion; preventing out-of-state corporations from polluting West Virginia’s air and water; stopping the Appalachian hydrogen hub (ARCH2); addressing children’s health in our changing climate; protecting children and families from “advanced recycling” pollution; banning vinyl chloride (used in making PVC plastic); and a fee on methane emissions. MOMS West Virginia is a member of the national MOMS Clean Air Force organization, “a community of 1.5 million moms and dads united against air pollution—including the urgent crisis of our changing climate—to protect our children’s health.”
