The WV Public Service Commission has granted a solar siting certificate to Bedington Energy Facility, LLC, for a 100-megawatt utility-scale solar energy facility to be developed on the former DuPont Potomac River Works plant along the Potomac River. Bedington Energy plans to purchase over 1000 acres on the DuPont brownfield site. The proposed solar facility project is estimated to cost $135 million, provide approximately 200 construction jobs, and will have a 35-year lifespan. Bedington Energy Facility, LLC is a subsidiary of Torch Clean Energy.
