Appalachian Power’s (AP) Home Performance Program is a service that assesses options for improving a home’s energy efficiency. An AP Home Performance Energy Advisor visits a home, performs an energy assessment (at no cost), rates the home on an energy efficiency scale, provides a report and may offer recommendations for achieving maximum energy efficiency. The Home Energy Assessment involves information related to the home’s current condition, air conditioning and heating systems, and appliance and energy use. West Virginia single-family homeowners served by Appalachian Power are eligible for this service.
